[ It's an idle comment, something she cannot help but say in jest even as all this is going on, even as they are sorting so many long, tortured years of separation out. Grasping and reaching, discarding slowly the weights, what binds them both. Physically, and otherwise.
... She cannot help the smile on her face. She feels like a child again somehow, so innocent, but she is so far from it. Was this what it was like, to be around someone... someone who truly knew you, whom you knew as well, whom you loved, truly?
It was concern for needing to continue a hero's bloodline that had possessed her to have a family; she had seen some of the future in her dreams, not unlike the Princess herself, and she had realized long ago that the things she needed to do... that her job, her duty, even after her time in Termina, was not completed. Admittedly, the man she married was very persistent, and she became fond of him over time. But this was different. So, so very different. There was such gentleness, and she was almost... not quite afraid, but more that there was this deep desire within her to do this right, as best as she could try.
To make Zelda happy as well as to simply be in her presence and feel her touch, that little kiss, her words; they're all tender. ]
... I feel smaller when I am near your side, regardless...
[ Bare. Unprotected. But she's okay with that. She trusts Zelda. It's funny to take all this off one final time, funny to watch that which she swore never to strip herself of be removed by the very person who had placed it on her. But again, this was HER Zelda, not THAT one. And that made it all the better. ]
